Do I have to prepare anything beforehand?
All you need to do is take the assessment online and the results are emailed back to me. Our first session we go through the assessment. There is little homework between sessions but many couples report simply processing and talking more about the topics at home.  

Will this hurt my relationship? I'm a bit scared!
It's completely normal to feel a bit scared about the process. Many couples ask me...do some couples end up breaking up after premarital counseling? I would say 1 in 50, but it is always clear to them why they need to separate. Most couples will say that they have grown closer because of the process, and that being completely honest and open about their relationship in counseling has given them the freedom to be completely open in their marriage. Since couples have talked about so many topics they feel refreshed and more connected due to the communication techniques i teach. They walk away feeling more skilled and confident about their future together.

Isn't it too expensive?
These days weddings are averaging about $20,000. Many couples  come to me completely stressed about the finances of their wedding. The cost of a bouquet of flowers can be the cost of their premarital counseling. Which lasts longer? It's truly about priorities. Premarital counseling classes make a statement that your marriage and the skills you will learn are important to you. What you don't know will catch up to you sooner or later so it is to be totally prepared.

We both work. When will we find the time in our busy schedules?
I have both day and evening hours and can also work on the weekends in the morning. My office is located right off the highway of 94E and Century Avenue in Woodbury. I am also venturing into on line conferencing sessions for people out of state.
